Eric Monte Productions (EMP), Preserving the Legacy of Black Cinema – Where The Past Meets The Present & Where Film is Reimagined. EMP - An age-old production Company started 58 years ago, is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. It is inspired by the Pioneering Spirit of Eric Monte’s Legacy and his historic works. Eric Monte, a well-renowned African American writer and creator, is known for creating iconic works such as Good Times, The Jeffersons, Cooley High, and What's Happening. EMP's mission is to preserve the Legacy of Black Cinema, inspire the youth and creativity, create new films and projects for both the big screen and television...and preserve and continue Eric Monte's legacy.
